“Colorado Down and Dirty Dopamine Dose Ditty”

Patient weight in pounds / 10 then subtract 2. This gives you the pump setting in ml/hr or gtts/min for dopamine at 5 mcg/kg/min with in-bag concentration of 1600 mcg/ml.

(Check to make sure Dopamine in our drug boxes is still 1600 mcg/ml!)
Example: Patient weighs 220 pounds, so 220/10 = 22, minus 2, which = 20. Set pump at 20 ml/hr.
