Allied EMS Systems, Inc. offers leadership in EMS education to our northern Michigan communities in a number of ways:
- As an American Heart Association authorized community training center, we offer regularly scheduled CPR and First Aid classes at the Allied EMS Systems, Inc. corporate offices in Harbor Springs and on-site courses for larger groups.
- Last year, we offered over 1,000 hours of training and CPR to the community.
- As an EMS Program Sponsor for the Michigan Department of Community Health, we regularly offer Medical First Responder, EMT—Basic, and EMT—Specialist courses at our corporate offices, as well as at other locations as the need arises. Stay tuned for more information about the changing state requirements for the intermediate level EMS positions.
- Please check with us for class pricing
- Textbooks for all classes are additional (usually $50-$75).
- As a Continuing Education Program sponsor for the Michigan Department of Community Health, we offer numerous classes to area first response personnel as an aid to maintaining licensure.
- We provide instructional assistance to the paramedic program at North Central Michigan College in Petoskey.
Allied paramedics recently completed participation in the MI First Stepps Grant Program, in conjunction with Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies / Michigan State University. In this grant program, paramedics received special education in treating pediatric patients, using state-of-the-art manikins. Our thanks to Dr. William Fales and Paramedic IC Maria Byrwa of KCMS for their hard work and creativity in bringing this important educational resource to us in Northern Michigan.
Thanks to all who attended Bob Page's recent seminars.
