School Visits

Allied EMS teams frequently visit local schools to increase awareness of the role of EMS professionals, to demonstrate equipment used in emergency situations, and to make children comfortable with what they might find inside an ambulance.

Allied EMS Executive Director, Dave Slifka, and staff demonstrate EMS procedures at the Harbor Springs Middle School "Hoops for Heart" event:

Children from Shay Elementary in Harbor Springs tell an Allied EMS paramedic what they think should be inside an ambulance. Afterwards they go on a treasure hunt to find the items on their lists. They even try out some of the equipment!
